Large pellets of feed will be produced when the equipment of the chicken feed production line fails? In the process of chicken breeding, it is often found that chickens prefer to pick small pellets for their feed. Large pellets are left at the bottom of the trough, sometimes covering the bottom of the trough with a thick layer, which is really confusing. How could this be? what happened? What causes this phenomenon? Today, Ruiqi Machinery is here to share, the reason for the large pellets left at the bottom of the tank is for your reference only.
1. The size of chicken feed pellets
Small baby chick(chicks in 10 days)：1.0-1.5mm or powder feeds
Middle chicken(chicken in 10-30days)：2.5-3.0mm
Big chicken(chicken in 30-45 days)：3.5-4.0mm
If it does not meet the above-recommended chicken feed pellet size, then it is considered a large pellet feed.
2. The reason for the remaining large pellets
(1) Problems during feed processing:
a.Problem of chicken poultry hammer mill crusher
Chicken farmers generally have a set of feed processing line equipment to process the feed themselves and mix them into full-price feed. During the processing, the sieve is unavoidable. This will cause the crushed corn to be larger and mixed in during the processing. In the chicken feed, the corn raw material occupies a large proportion in the feed, and the chickens are used to eat the pellet size of the feed. Suddenly the pellet size of the feed becomes larger and they don't like to eat it, resulting in the larger pellet feed at the bottom of the tank.
Solution: In the processing of chicken pellet feed, farmers should always check the corn grinder for chicken feed, check the bottom of the sieve, check the particle size of the processed feed, and change the bottom of the sieve regularly.
b.Problem of pelleting
If you don't choose a suitable chicken pellet making machine, the size of the produced pellets are not good. Because the larger the pellets, the more they are compressed, and the lower the cost of the chicken poultry feed mill. However, this size of feed is completely ignored for chickens.
Solution: You can configure a chicken feed pellet crumbler. It is used to crumble the pellet after pelleting and cooling to obtain feed for small animals. Every crumb keeps the complete formula's characteristics, avoiding selection of feed from the animal.
(2) Refueling problem:
From the chicks, young chickens, laying period, each growth stage, the feed granularity used is different. In the phase refueling, the feed is changed suddenly without excessive or the excessive time is not long. The chicken has not adapted to it, causing problems. Like to eat food, do not eat large feed. In particular, the feed granularity of chickens in the rearing period will change, which can easily cause the laying hens to eat less feed when they enter the rearing period, which will affect their growth.
Solution: Gradually and slowly transition according to the proportion, and the transition time is slightly longer, so that the chickens can gradually adapt to the process and reduce unnecessary stress.
(3) Mildew problem:
In breeding, if you do not pay attention to the quality of the feed, and use corn and soybean meal with serious mold or other moldy raw materials, the palatability is poor, and the digestive tract is irritating, and the chickens do not like to eat.
Solution: Pay attention to the quality of feed, don't try to buy cheap feeds and feed in feeds with quality problems.
(4) Pathological problems in chickens: the most common ones are caused by digestive tract diseases.
a. Problems in the intestines: common problems such as coccidia, tapeworms, enteritis, enterotoxic syndrome, etc., these diseases will initially cause swelling of the intestinal wall, inflammatory edema, and chickens are reluctant to eat large pellets to reduce the burden on the intestines , To slow down the damage to the intestinal wall.
Solution: diagnose and treat according to the feces of the chickens, restore the normal physiological functions of the intestines, and restore the chickens to normal.
b. Gastrointestinal problems:
Generally, friends of chicken farmers know that chickens have glutenous gastritis, they don't like to eat, they love to pick up, plan, and throw the material outside the trough, and the floor is full of wasted feed. This is after the chicken has glutenous gastritis, the appetite is poor, and only the fabric is eaten, and the large particles are left, and the large particles are eaten, which also shows anorexia phenomenon.
Solution: Treat glandular gastritis, restore normal gastric function, and increase feeding.
c. The problem of declining Newcastle disease antibodies: In the process of raising chickens, sometimes it is okay to look at the mental state of the flocks, but they just don’t like food, which is very worrying. In fact, when the flocks are low in Newcastle disease antibodies, There will be some chickens that have decreased feed intake, are picky eaters, prefer to eat fine fabrics, and leave large grains of corn and soybean meal at the bottom of the trough.
Solution: Look at the number of immunizations against Newcastle disease and the interval between immunizations, and analyze more. It is best to do antibody monitoring to be more accurate. If the antibody against Newcastle disease is low and the antibody dispersion of the large group is large, the chickens can be vaccinated under normal circumstances, and the chickens can be adjusted with some health-care Chinese medicine.
(5) Stratification of mixed feed:
During the mixing process by chicken feed mixer of farmers, especially those who use premix and self-mixing, the feed mixing time is too long, and the feed is easy to be severely graded. After feeding the chickens, they do not pay attention to the homogenization. Some feeders Without a homogenizer, some chickens will eat powdered feed today and large pellets of feed tomorrow. This will result in unstable eating and large pellets of feed.
Solution: In the process of processing feed, it is generally recommended that the mixing time should not exceed 7 minutes, after 10 minutes, or even longer, grading will occur. It is recommended that each time the feed is finished, the feed should be evened at least once in the middle for the chickens to eat For uniform, nutritionally balanced, automatic feeding machines, a leveler should be added.
In summary, chickens always love to leave large pellets of feed when they eat. There are reasons for this. Our farmers should observe the problems more, find out the reasons, and take corresponding measures to solve the problems. Let the chickens resume normal feeding.
