Crushing is one of the most commonly used raw material pretreatment methods in poultry feed production process. Its purpose is to turn large particles (lumps) of raw materials into small particles and powder, which is convenient for poultry animals to digest and absorb. According to the particle size of the crushed materials, the crushing can be roughly divided into coarse crushing, fine crushing and superfine crushing.
1. Principle and process of crushing
Crushing is the use of mechanical force to turn large-particle materials into small particles and powder. Common crushing forces include extrusion, impact, shear, friction, splitting, bending, etc.
①The effect of the crushing working fluid on the material (the effect of the impact column/hammer/blade on the material);
②Motion The effect of the material on the working fluid (the effect of the material impacting the ring gear/tooth plate/sieve plate);
③The effect between the moving materials (the main form of action in the jet flow mill).
2. Evaluation of crushing effect-crushing particle size
Our common expressions "coarse pulverization", "medium pulverization", "fine pulverization" and "fine pulverization" are not enough to describe the specific particle size of pulverization. 3. Factors affecting crushing effect
The main factors affecting the crushing particle size are the characteristics of raw materials (such as moisture, fiber, protein and grease content, etc.), animal poultry feed rice wheat crusher (such as model, hammer, screen, auxiliary suction system, etc.).
(1) Physical properties of raw materials
Feed ingredients are generally composed of starch, protein, fiber, minerals, oil, and moisture. The main factors affecting physical properties: air temperature, material temperature (the material has low temperature and brittleness, and the night crushing is more power-saving), the degree of difficulty of fine crushing: fiber>protein>starch>minerals.
Oil and water affect the crushing particle size: the higher the oil and water content, the coarser the achievable crushing fineness. Common effective methods for processing high-moisture/high-greasy materials are: mixed crushing and freezing crushing.
